ADCDA announced the signing of the Industrial Safety Charter, becoming the first official entity worldwide to adopt this declaration, which sets a new global benchmark for enhancing safety standards and protecting lives and property. This announcement was made during the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit 2024, held as part of Abu Dhabi Business Week. The event brought together global leaders, decision-makers, and representatives of international organizations, with the Authority reaffirming its commitment to leveraging modern technologies to safeguard lives, protect property, and enhance operational efficiency.

The summit also witnessed the signing of a strategic partnership between ADCDA and the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit, in the presence of representatives from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), to support the Global Industrial Safety Principles Declaration. This partnership aims to establish a global platform that advances visions and objectives, boosts investments, and accelerates the integration of advanced technologies in the industrial sector.

Reinforcing its leadership role, the Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit 2024, held at Abu Dhabi Business Week, underscoring Abu Dhabi's position as a global hub for industrial innovation. Among the agreements signed was an MoU with Global MICE Organization Limited (GMOLx) to organize an international conference and exhibition on industrial safety in Abu Dhabi starting in 2025. This event aims to provide a global platform to foster dialogue among industry leaders and policymakers, addressing innovative solutions to safety challenges and achieving sustainability in the industrial sector.

In another step to enhance the industrial sector's emergency preparedness, the Authority signed an MoU with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office and Ambipar, a leading environmental and industrial solutions company. The agreement seeks to strengthen emergency response capabilities and risk management in industrial facilities, including the establishment of a specialized emergency preparedness training center in Abu Dhabi and the adoption of advanced technologies such as drones to improve inspection and assessment processes.

Commenting on these achievements, Brigadier General Salem Abdullah bin Barak Al Dhaheri, Acting Director General of ADCDA, stated that these partnerships represent a qualitative leap in the Authority's efforts to position Abu Dhabi as a global center for industrial safety. He said, "The signing of the Industrial Safety Charter and the strategic partnerships we have launched reflect our steadfast commitment to protecting lives and property, enhancing industrial sustainability, and leveraging innovation to achieve the highest global safety standards. We are dedicated to collaborating with our local and international partners to achieve a shared vision for a safer and more sustainable future."

His Excellency added that these initiatives highlight Abu Dhabi's pioneering role in leading global efforts to develop innovative solutions in industrial safety, further solidifying its status as a leading global destination in this critical sector and supporting its aspirations to establish a safe and sustainable industrial environment at both the local and international levels.
