Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority launched the Smart Ambulance Services Systems during its participation at GITEX Global Technology Exhibition 2024, held in Dubai, in a strategic move aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response.

 

Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority launched the Smart Ambulance Services Systems during its participation at GITEX Global Technology Exhibition 2024, held in Dubai, in a strategic move aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response.

This advanced system is the result of continuous efforts to employ advanced smart technology and innovation in protecting the community and ensuring its safety, in line with Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 and the National Digital Health Strategy.

The project was implemented by a specialized team that includes engineers, programmers, analysts, and healthcare specialists working under the supervision of the authority.

The main systems include the unified access program for ambulance systems, the smart patient management program, the real-time operations management program, the smart triage system, the smart reporting system, the multiple casualty incidents system, the billing and financial collection system, the ambulance systems management system, the medical inventory management system, and the smart shift management system.

These systems work in harmony to provide a rapid and accurate response to emergency cases while ensuring effective coordination with partners from healthcare institutions. 

The implementation of the Smart Ambulance Services Systems has resulted in tangible improvements in emergency response time and the accuracy of medical data, in addition to enhancing cooperation between health entities and providing integrated and effective care. the applied digital transformation enhances safety and operational efficiency and contributes to achieving financial and environmental sustainability by eliminating paper forms.

The project raises the level of ambulance services quality and positions Abu Dhabi as a global leader in the application of smart health technology and its commitment to providing the best services for citizens and residents and places the United Arab Emirates among the leading countries in smart healthcare and advanced technology and serves as a model at the regional and international level.

The new system is not limited to improving ambulance services in Abu Dhabi but also includes integration with many systems that enhance the accuracy of information and the speed of access to vital medical data such as the operations system, the maps and traffic system, the Onwani system, the facial recognition system for identifying unconscious patients or those without identification documents, the identity system, the health insurance system, the traffic and accident system, and the Ministry of Community Development to identify the injured from people of determination, the SMS and email system for sending instant notifications and updates, the employee affairs management system, the voice system that enables paramedics to facilitate procedures when writing notes, the language translation system, the response system with the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, the Mawaredna system with the Ministry of Health, and many other systems.

This system allows ambulance teams to record patients’ vital medical data in real-time using tablets inside ambulances ensuring the accuracy and speed of data transmission, it includes the smart triage system to immediately determine emergency case priorities and the system for real-time monitoring and tracking of ambulance movements.
